LUI blames himself for his stupidity and inability to discern good from evil. PIK appears to embrace him. SHING chides TING for letting LUI screw things up but she already has another scheme installed to lure LUI out. LUI’s aloofness disheartens PIK. FEI returns with the news of TING’s execution. It sends a shiver down LUI’s spine. LUI seeks to redeem TING alone, and when PIK offers to reinforce him, he feels compelled to tell the mother that TING is in fact WONG YEE’s murderer and that she is pregnant with his child. FUNG knocks LUI off to stop him and PIK from falling into TING’s trap. A dying SANG urges PIK to cherish the familial bliss she now enjoys before he expires.
